Other Ceremony Options
Sign Language
We will be glad to to work with an Interpreter performing in Sign Language to convey the beauty of your wedding to the hearing impaired.
Bi-Lingual Ceremony
Our Spanish and French are too rusty to call to service but we would be glad to work with an interpreter so that family, friends and guests who do not speak English can relate what we say during the service.
Inter-Faith Ceremony
Combine traditions from different religions for the Bride and Groom in one ceremony. Allowing the bride and groom to honor their religious backgrounds and those of their families without a formal conversion to another religion.
Bi Cultural Ceremonies
For couples that come from different backgrounds, come from different cultures, or are each of a different race. Many couples choose to honor and celebrate their ethnic heritages during their wedding ceremony. We've done services honoring Hispanic, Polish, Irish, Israeli, African-American, Persian customs and more.
Other Participation
Readings and other participation by guests, friends, members of the wedding party as part of ceremony.
Personal Vows
Yes you can write your own vows to each other.
Renewal of Vows
We love to do ceremonies for couples who are already married but choose to re-committ to each other.
Commitment Ceremonies
Remembrance Weddings is happy to do Commitment Ceremonies for those couples who wish to commit to each other but choose not to obtain a State Issued Marriage License. Please note that while we are delighted to offer these services, the ceremonies do not grant legal status.
LGBT Ceremonies*
Remembrance Weddings is happy to do ceremonies for those same sex couples who wish to commit to each other.
*Currently Missouri law does not provide for same sex marriage and actually has a statute that prohibits the use of the term "Marriage" in same sex unions. We can provide a Commitment Covenant ceremony held in Missouri for same sex unions. Please note that while we are delighted to offer these services, the ceremonies do not grant legal status at this time.
*Missouri same sex couples may wish to have a ceremony done in Illinois which honors same sex marriages performed in that state.
*Missouri residents should study the Illinois law carefully to see if you can legally marry in Illinois, but know that Illinois would recognize your marriage but it is not transferable to Missouri at this time.
*We are delighted to offer Illinois same sex couples a traditional wedding ceremony. Illinois recognized same sex marriages in 2013.
